Welcome to Acherusia
Acherusia is a realm within the Second Life HUD game Tiny Empires. Our group is a place to have fun and to belong. We take care of each other and help our members out and it is no surprise that people in the group feel part of one big family.
We are lucky to have a beautiful sim in second life where group members and their friends hang out. We hold regular events such as fishing, DJ sets, greedy games and parties and our frequent balls are much talked about and well attended. Every Monday at 3pm Joaquin Gustav performs a live set at our Dock.
If you would like more information, or are interested in joining us please contact inworld: our Queen Zuza Korobase, GV Teagan Sapphire, Queen Mum ~Abdicator~ Rosaria Constantine, or any of our V's, Andy Harcassle, Brielle Shamrock, Catriona MacBain, CW Washbourne, Jeff Earp, Jimmy51 Lemon, KarenMichelle Lane, Pixie Kobichenko or Svetlana Salomon.

On Saturday 21st January 2012 longtime Acheron/Acherusia Prince, Dakari Harbinger ascended to the throne of his kingdom Tus Nua.
This was Acherusia's first ascension and we had the most fantastic party to give Dak and his line a great send off on the next part of their TE journey. Photos will be in the gallery soon.

Since the post below noting changes at the festival, we have also started noticing new options after buying potions from the Alchemist.
Currently people from lots of Kingdoms are contributing information which is being frequently updated on the wiki.

Heather Mavendorf and Henning Hawker
for being crowned King and Queen of the Festival ball in 1183 (8th January 2012). Don't spend all your gold bars at once!

It has been spotted that there is a change at the Festival for FED HUD users.
"A new feature was seen in the Festival on Jan 8, 2012. In the January turn Kazim's Booth made an appearance. This allows a number of gold bars to be purchased (between 2 and 5 seen so far) and to be sold (only 2 seen so far)."
Perhaps there are more changes to follow . . . do let me know.

It is with great regret that I must inform you that our own Pixie Kobichenko has been sent to jail.
Charges are as follows:
1) For allowing her duck to peck the Queen's bahookie.
2) For risking the pixel security of the Queendom's prims.
3) For NOT being Scottish.
She is found Guilty as charged and there will be no appeal.

Why do you need allies when you're playing the Federation HUD?
The Allies tab has a page for each individual ally. There is a "send ambassador" option for each of your allies. If you check the "send ambassador" box the following options will appear in the next turn of the HUD. 1) do nothing, 2) send gift worth a specific amount of gold, 3) send a certain amount of citizens, 4) build embassy if you don't already have one, 5) break alliance. If you choose "send gift" the next turn of the HUD will give you the choice of selecting a type of gift. A sent gift could hold a gold bar too!
Several important notes about building embassies, they are expensive, roughly five times the cost of an acre. On the other hand, you start getting good offers on your land that is attributed to the embassies. You can reduce the cost of building an embassy if you build during a period of cheap land, from the trader.
You can only have up to four allies (unless you are lucky enough to purchase a Swirly Potion, which costs 25 gold bars and allows you to get a 5th Ally and build another Embassy to gain another 1 gold per acre production). It is encouraged that you obtain your allies as soon as possible after upgrading to the Federation HUD. Preferably with those who have the ability to transfer citizens to you.
When looking for an ally, keep in mind the fact that you can not have your liege or direct subject as your ally. This means when you want to make allies within your own group, you may have to look a little further into the line, to find someone suitable. There is an ally board on the sim at Acheron. Feel free to IM anyone whose name is on the board and add your name too. You can always ask your liege, or one of the V's to help you with trying to find a ally. Sometimes they know of others who need or desire allies as well. Don't be afraid to speak up and ask. It's always worthwhile asking in group chat too.
Since the Federation HUD is significantly different than the standard HUD and new Fed users are encouraged to make allies soon after upgrading, they often find allies outside their immediate group. This also helps foster new friendships which, in turn helps the kingdom grow stronger.
For a more detailed explanation about alliances visit the TE wiki page

It's a funny thing, SL. I go in phases of being here and being gone- mostly I'm around, unless SL just gets too heavy... and then I need something to draw me back in. I was married, here in SL. My 'husband' found himself someone RL to be with, and I'm thrilled for him- he deserves happiness, after the rough patch he's gone through... but his gf didn't approve of SL, and so I let him go. My heart still hurts to think about him. I really didn't think I'd be spending much time in SL anymore. I really couldn't think of what would bring me back in, to enjoying the World again... and planned to mosey off into oblivion, or into another character where I could start fresh. And then I saw an old friend online one day. I said hi. And he brought me here. Thanks, Carlito. Anyway, I wanted to tell you all just how... grateful... I am, to you. You've welcomed me, you've been kind, and friendly- and it's not just something I've seen as a way to bring members in. This really feels like a family- we care for each other, we're good to each other... and I'm so grateful to be a part of this amazing group of people. The first few days, I didn't quite know what to do with myself, amidst all your kindness, and warm welcomes... and now- I can just be me, and you'll just be you, and everything works. You're all such positive people, and I feel good when I'm around you. So... thanks, Acheron. From the bottom of my real and pixellated hearts, thanks... you've made SL fun for me again. Much love, Jade.

Often when you are new to Tiny Empires, Peasant - Baron (usually) you will notice that through no effort on your part you have gained a subject. You have no idea where they came from or how they got there. The answer to this puzzling question is the Emperor, or the game, has randomly selected you to be their liege. You have, in essence, been handed a golden opportunity; use it to your advantage.
HELP! Where did they come from? What do I do with them now that they are here?
The first thing you should do when you become aware that you have been assigned a new player is to do an SL people search and IM them. Welcome them to your line and to Acheron. Give them the Acheron welcome package. Don't have a welcome package? Ask your liege for one. Then you should friend the new person. Alert your liege or the head of your line so that they too can welcome them and integrate them more fully into the Kingdom. It is important to make them feel welcome so that they want to stay with you and play the game for a long time.
What if they don't respond to my overtures?
There are a few things that all new players should know about assigned subjects. Often, they are the alt or friend of a more experienced player in another Kingdom. Don't let this thought deter you because you never know what twists and turns await their TE life. They might just remember the person they first lieged to who was helpful and kind to them. Also, we cannot always assume that they are an alt or friend of another player using our kingdom to reach a rank that will allow them to join with their main self or friend. For this very reason it is important that they are given every opportunity to become integrated.
What is the best way to keep them?
You and your upline should work together to: 1) welcome them to the group, 2) qualify their interest and plans in our kingdom, and 3) put someone under them to solidify there sense of belonging and show you are committed to helping them reach their game goals.
Assigned subjects can be a huge benefit to your game. If they stay only long enough to reach the rank they need to leave they still have to compensate you for the loss of acres, in the form of gold. Approach them with an attitude of helpfulness and friendship and you may just find you've made a good friend and a loyal subject.
Good luck with your game!
